Have you ever looked up into the night sky and wondered how the solar system was formed? Well you're not the only person. The study of this is called cosmology.
Scientists have always wondered about the evolution of the universe. They believe that around 14 billion years ago the entire universe was under tremendous pressure, compressed into a tiny compact volume. Then the tiny compact volume expanded and cooled to make our universe. Scientists have called this  the Big Bang  theory.
In the first few minutes of the "big bang", it created the intial elements and forces of nature. After the formation of the universe was completely determined, it left a cosmic background radiation. The energy from the explosion of the "big bang" was distributed throughout our universe. Now scientists know that the solar system was created by a solar nebula.
